The lack of forest fires in Northeastern Ontario is good news for Western Canada. The Ministry of Natural Resources has sent 143 personnel to Alberta and another 74 to Yukon to help those regions with their forest fires. The deployment includes pumps and hose equipment. In our part of the province, the fire hazard is low for most areas.
