The Coniston Historical Society hosts a dedication of the local war memorial this Saturday from 1-3pm. A parade begins at the Coniston Mall and culminates at the memorial site at the corner of Second Avenue and Government Rd.
The festivities include the local legion, the Second Irish Regiment of Canada, special dignitaries and the Sudbury and District Pipe Band. Afterwards the public is also invited to a free Barbecue in the Park, a military display, as well as a historical display.
All are welcome Saturday, again beginning at 1pm.
