Greenpeace is threatening jobs, says FONOM

Northern politicians are rallying to show support for sustainability of the Boreal Forest. The day of action at Parliament Hill focused on the forestry industry, and Greenpeace’s campaign which targets customers of forest products sourced from the Boreal. FONOM calls the campaign misinformed, and says the industry is governed by the Crown Forest Sustainability Act.

Hhat act means forest companies abide by certain environmental standards. Half of a percent of the Boreal is allowed to be harvested each year.
