MHC receives support from Gore Bay Masonic Lodge

The Manitoulin Health Centre has received a shot in the pocketbook from the Gore Bay Mason Lodge.

The lodge presented the centre with $20,000 to expand the emergency department facilities at the Mindemoya hospital location.

Hospital CEO Lynn Foster says the renovation and extension of the emergency department will improve physical space and flow with the total project cost estimated to be $5 million.

Half of the project is being covered by the centre’s own reserve funds while the rest is being raised with support from the wider community.
