COVID-19 has led to the cancellation of many fundraising events for firefighters, but the Espanola Volunteer Firefighters wanted to continue their efforts for Muscular Dystrophy Canada.
Regional organizer Trevor McVey made a special trip to Espanola this weekend to receive the funds raised from those local efforts.
Local firefighters, Ryan Courtemanche and Joel Marion from the Espanola Firefighters Association presented a donation of $500 to Muscular Dystrophy Canada.
McVey extended a heartfelt thanks adding Espanola firefighters have never missed a year since 1971 to support the charity.
