A laboratory experiment to identify the perpetrator of a crime

Grade 12 biology students at École secondaire catholique Champlain (Chelmsford) recently participated in a forensic biochemistry lab.

As part of this learning activity, students had to complete various tests to find the presence of macromolecules in the stomach of a fictitious victim.

With this result, the students were able to identify the perpetrator of the crime.

The Champlain students really enjoyed this mysterious learning activity and undoubtedly felt they were contributing to a CSI investigation.
