Ontario reports fewer than 1,000 new COVID-19 cases

Ontario is reporting fewer than 1,000 new COVID-19 cases.

The province added 975 cases on Tuesday with sixty-three per cent in the hot spots around the GTHA.

Nearly 26,000 tests were completed over the last day which is the lowest number of tests completed since early November.

Across Ontario, 277,939 people have now recovered.

Another 12 people have died.

Test positivity, the percentage of tests coming back positive, is at 4.2 per cent.
