Last time around over 85,000 pounds of food was handed out to over 400 families across the North Shore.
This time around the Massey Agricultural Society is looking forward to supporting the initiative once again at its fairgrounds with around the same amount.
Society spokesperson Brian Channon says the second food giveaway is set for Saturday, February 27th with the gates opening at 10:30 am.
Various partners are providing the food to assist those who have been hard hit by the pandemic and need the extra help, but everyone is welcome.
Channon says volunteers are needed and can sign up by messaging him on Facebook.
Cars can line up and drive through the property receiving the food stuffs, but all must follow COVID-19 protocols including wearing face masks during pick up.
