Federal riding MP Carol Hughes says the Harper Tories are using Canada’s war veterans as political fodder to help them pass the budget. Hughes says the reality is the Tories forced injured veterans to go to court over compensation and care issues. And she’s hoping Canadians don’t forget this as the October election gets closer. Hughes and the NDP want items involving the veterans removed from the budget so it can get passed.
