Public Health Sudbury & Districts say there are eight newly confirmed cases of COVID-19, all in the City of Greater Sudbury.

The agency says there are no new deaths reported.

As for the causes of the new cases, the health unit says 10 cases are now attributed to outbreak, meaning that previously undetermined cases are now added to the daily report.
There were also four new cases determined to be the result of close contact of a confirmed case and six cases with information pending or missing.

Accounting for resolved cases, there are now 74 active cases in the agency’s jurisdiction.

At Health Sciences North, their daily update reveals there are eight confirmed COVID cases at the hospital, with none assigned to the Intensive Care Unit.

There are also an additional eight other admitted patients being investigated for the coronavirus with one in the ICU and the seven others assigned to other units in the hospital.

Algoma Public Health is also reporting six new cases, all are considered close contact and all are self-isolating.

There are 30 active cases in the Algoma District and none are hospitalized.
