Scammers claiming to be from the Canada Revenue Agency are phoning northerners claiming the homeowner owes the agency money. The con artists are very aggressive to the point that the MP for Timmins-James Bay, Charlie Angus, is issuing his own warning. Angus says the crooks tell the potential victims that their wages will be garnished if they don’t pay. Angus says don’t fall for this because it’s a scam. He says don’t give them personal information and call the police.
