Rainbow board host virtual Information Nights for Grade 8 students

The Rainbow District School Board is offering virtual access for Grade 8 students looking at attending high school in 2021.

Board communications director, Nicole Charette says Grade 8 students and their parents can log on to rainbowschools.ca to access virtual information nights for Rainbow secondary schools.
She says the sessions will be live or pre-recorded and accessible on school websites.

Charette adds the board has also produced a guide, which can be accessed online to help students make the transition.

“Making the Transition – Finding your way from Grade 8 to Grade 9,” is filled with information about course codes, levels of study, timetables and tips says Charette. The guide can be accessed online. Printed copies are available by emailing [email protected].

For a presentation on “Making the Transition”, tune in to Eastlink Community TV Channel 10 on Monday, January 4, 2021 at 8 pm, Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at 5 pm or Saturday, January 9, 2021 at 5 pm.
