Fentanyl Bill closer to law

A Private Member’s Bill to reduce abuse of Fentanyl patches is closer to becoming law.  Nipissing MPP Vic Fedeli proposed the Bill which has passed second reading in the Legislature unanimously.  Fedeli’s proposed legislation forces Fentanyl users to return their used patches to pharmacies before getting a new one.  More than 40 communities in Ontario are already doing this on their own since Fedeli first proposed his Bill.   Some users sell the patches to addicts for large amounts of money.  In North Bay, at least 15 people have died for improper use of Fentanyl.
