Inquest postponed

The inquest into the death of a man whose body was found in Serpent River two years ago has been postponed.  The inquest was to begin next Monday.  The coroner’s office will announce a new date.  The body of 44-year-old Gerard Smits was found on February 15th, 2013 on the side of Highway 17.  The night before Smits was headed to Elliot Lake by bus.  His body was found not far from the bus stop.  The coroner did not give a reason for re-scheduling next Monday’s inquest.
