Bus users in Elliot Lake will have more access to scheduled runs with a recent renewal and expansion of services.
Darryl Halloch, the director of Public Works, says the city has now extended its transit services hours back to 9:00 on Thursdays and Fridays.
And, starting this Sunday, the service will run from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.
Halloch says last night they installed a transit stop as well in the lower plaza, which is near Horne and Charles Walk by AJ’s building to provide better service for users in the area.
He adds he is still doing a bit more research on the “Where’s My Bus” app before launching it for passengers to track the current location of their bus, which will be accessible virtually by phone or computer.
