The Mining Association of Canada says the federal government doesn’t consult enough with First Nations. And the comment has caught the attention of Claude Gravelle, the Nickel Belt MP. Gravelle says the feds have ignored this responsibility for a long time and it’s gotten in the way of pursuing development. He says the mining association consults more with First Nations than the Harper Tories do, proof that the feds are dropping the ball in this area.
