The OAKS Centre in Elliot Lake is receiving nearly $14,000.
The centre, which is administered by St. Joseph’s General Hospital, provides acute care withdrawal management and services, as well as a residential treatment program is receiving $13,500 from the Algoma Community Foundation.
The money will be used to purchase necessary equipment and food for the residents.
The Foundation is providing the funding as part of the $87,850 provided through their partnership with Community Foundations of Canada and the federal government.
The funds are part of the second round of the Emergency Community Support Fund in the Algoma Region.
