St. Joseph’s General Hospital in Elliot Lake has three new hospital beds, thanks to the hard work and generosity of the Elliot Lake Hospital Auxiliary.
Hospital CEO Pierre Ozolins accepted a cheque for $18,000 yesterday to pay for the three new beds.
He says the dedication carried out by the organization is great work and has assisted the hospital in the last 57 years with buying various pieces of vital equipment through the decades.
He adds the auxiliary has helped raise over $2-million dollars in the last six decades.

The presentation was made by past auxiliary chair Geraldine Robinson and auxiliary treasurer Faye Steele.
The donation is part of a new campaign to raise $324,000 to replace 54 hospital beds at the hospital.
