The Habitat for Humanity chapter in Espanola is appealing a re-zoning decision by council to the Ontario Municipal Board. Habitat wants to build a duplex at the corner of Adelaide and Oscar but following objections by residents, council rejected the re-zoning application. Homeowners are worried that the duplex will affect things like snow removal. The chair of Habitat’s build committee, Jeff Lapierre, hopes council will reverse its decision before the OMB hearing. Until then, the project is stalled.
