One case of COVID-19 in Algoma, Sudbury confirms six

Public Health Sudbury & Districts is reporting six new cases.

Of the newly reported cases, four are from Greater Sudbury, and two are from Sudbury District.
Two are close contacts of known cases, and the remaining are still under investigation.
All are self-isolating.
The Rainbow District School Board says it has been advised by the health unit of a confirmed COVID-19 case at Lasalle Secondary School in Sudbury.

In the release, the school board says the person who tested positive is currently self-isolating.

Two classes have also been asked to self-isolate, one until November 18th, the other until November 19th.

The school remains open and the board says all affected students, families and staff have been notified.

Algoma Public Health has reported Case #56 in the Sault Ste. Marie area.

The health unit says the cause is close contact and the individual is self-isolating.
