Public Health Sudbury & District – 33 new cases, Algoma – eight

Public Health Sudbury & Districts reported 33 new positive cases of COVID-19 in the Greater Sudbury area over the last three days.

The health unit says 20 cases were reported late Friday afternoon two at the McDonald’s in Chelmsford, and six at Cambrian College and the rest in households.

Five more cases were reported Saturday, four are close contacts of confirmed cases, and one is unknown.

Of the Sunday cases, six are close contacts of confirmed cases and the remaining two are still under investigation.

Meanwhile Public Health Algoma is reporting seven new cases this weekend, all from the Sault Ste. Marie area with seven attributed to close contact with a positive case and one unknown.

All positives in both districts are in self-isolation.
