Royal Agricultural Winter Fair a go … virtually

The Moose reported in June that the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair was being cancelled because of COVID-19, but thanks to funding from FedNor and other supports from Northern Ontario businesses, the event will be held virtually.

According to the release FedNor is providing just over $598,000 to fund the Northern Ontario Agri-Food Pavilion for the next two years.

Up to 30 vendors will be the exhibitors in the pavilion from November 10th to 14th with a major focus on e-commerce development.

The funding was announced by Nickel Belt MP Marc Serré,  on behalf of FedNor minister Mélanie Joly (JOL-EE) earlier this week.

The fair is the world’s largest combined indoor agricultural fair and international competition held every year at Toronto’s Exhibition Place.

Registration to attend the virtual event is free of charge.
