The Algoma Manor is partnering with 12 other healthcare organizations and Conestoga College
to provide a fast-tracked Personal Support Worker program.
Administrative assistant Jenny Daoust says the program is 20 weeks in length and starts on January 11th, 2021.
Daoust adds they will also be given an opportunity to complete their placements and be offered a work accommodation agreement.
She adds once completed the students will be obligated to sign an employment contract with one of the 12 organizations.
She says the only cost is a one-time application fee, but the entire program is being funded through a grant program with no other costs to participants.
