Like other communities across Canada, the annual Poppy Campaign has been launched in our local area.
Legion members and volunteers in all three districts of Sudbury, Manitoulin and Algoma began selling the poppies this weekend.
Many businesses have poppy boxes set up and volunteers will be out selling poppies keeping in mind physical distancing and masks are required.
And, for the first time, the Township of Baldwin has mounted five Remembrance Day Banners in honour of the fallen from their community.

Espanola set up its banners two weeks ago, which will remain in place until Remembrance Day.
All the funds raised from the poppies assist various local charities and veterans.
