Schools across Canada will be taking part in various initiatives and activities to educate students about treaties as part of Treaty Recognition Week.
This annual event honours the importance of treaties and helps students understand more about treaty rights and relationships.
Ontario passed legislation declaring the first week of November as Treaties Recognition Week in 2016 and it is now part of the curriculum.
