It’s a first for the OPP in the North East Region. The North Bay detachment has named a woman as its first ever female detachment commander. She’s staff sergeant Laura Houliston a 20-year veteran. Houliston has served with the OPP in Cochrane and Sudbury and takes over as the commander June 1st.
