Change up to food drive this year in Elliot Lake

The pandemic has led to some changes for this year’s 30th Annual Elliot Lake Firefighter’s Food Drive.

Elliot Lake Emergency Food Bank President Len Kutchaw says they will not be going door-to-door this year nor will be accepting food donations on the day of the drive.

He says they are asking the public to make monetary donations instead so COVID-19 protocols will be followed, and the food bank can still fill the shelves.

He adds tables will be set up outside of the fire hall this year and at various other locations throughout Elliot Lake.

Kutchaw says donations can also be made anytime at the food bank located on Charles Walk on Mondays, Wednesdays, or Fridays from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm.
