The apartment scam is making another appearance on Kijiji. The victim this time was someone looking to rent a home in the Parry Sound area and put an ad on Kijiji. He got an e-mail from someone claiming to be renting a home in Parry Sound and provided pictures and the address of the house. The victim wired the supposed homeowner a deposit plus two months rent. However, the person has lost this money because the guy claiming to own the home is a con artist. The advice from the OPP is be very careful about sending money with these kind of ventures.
