With a high school strike fully underway at the Rainbow board, its chair has some advice for students. Doreen Dewar is suggesting students teach themselves through self-directed studies. She says the board has put learning resources online at www.rainbowschools.ca   Meanwhile Dewar wants the teachers union to resume bargaining with the board.  Both sides blame the other for the strike with the union claiming the board isn’t serious about negotiating and the board saying it responded to all union proposals.
