Elliot Lake Public Library moves to curbside pickup

Anyone wishing to access the Elliot Lake Public Library will have to do so by curbside pickup or phone.

That’s due to the second wave of coronavirus being here.

According to the release, users can ask for materials by placing a hold on them online or by telephone, starting next week on Tuesday.

The curbside pickup will be available Tuesdays to Fridays from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm.

Patrons can place holds or request by phone for up to four DVD’s, five Audiobooks, five children’s books and five adult/young adult items, each week.

Then:

Click browse online catalogue – right-hand side under popular links

A new tab will open – click login- top centre

In top field enter library card number (no spaces)

In the bottom, field enter PIN – books

Change the search field from everything to the library search

Search for books you would like

Select book – click the place hold button

A small box will appear – click place hold again to get confirmation (success)

When finished selecting books and placing holds click logout

To request books by telephone:

Call (705) 848-2287 x2800. You will be required to provide your name, library card number, title, and author of books you would like.

When your holds are ready staff will contact you and a pickup time will be arranged.
