The Town of Espanola and the City of Elliot Lake will begin flushing water mains today as part of their fall program.
Different sections of the respective communities will be flushed by work crews throughout the week and into next.
The annual program clears the lines and improves the water quality of both communities.
Both public work departments emphasize do not run hot water if you have any discolouration since it can cause damage to water tanks.

Rather, run cold water until it runs clear.
Depending on the maintenance, it will take one to two weeks to complete the program.
