ELSS student prepares for world power lifting championships

A Grade 12 student from Elliot Lake Secondary School is preparing for the World Classic Power-lifting championships.  Darcy Ducharme qualified for the worlds after winning at the Canadian Power-lifting championships in St. John’s Newfoundland.   Darcy competed in the 59 kilo class and along the way set three national and 16 provincial records.  The world championships take place in Finland during June.
