The Pan-Am torch makes its way to Manitoulin Island June 2nd and a resident of Little Current has been chosen as the torch carrier. He’s world-renowned artist Ivan Wheale. Wheale’s art is on display in such places like Windsor Castle and Queen’s Park and it’s put the island on the map. The mayor and councillors of Northeastern Manitoulin and the Islands chose Wheale for that very reason.
