Little Current Swing Bridge study continues

The final third public hearing reviewing different options to either repair or replace the Swing Bridge in Little Current has been delayed due to COVID-19.

Stantec Consulting Limited was hired by the Ontario Ministry of Transportation, to carry out the study, which includes Planning, Preliminary Design and Class Environmental Assessment of the structure.

Stantec states to date, two public consultation have been held as part of this study, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the third and final PIC has been delayed

They state however, it is anticipated that a preliminary preferred plan will be presented publicly this fall or early winter.
