Third tick tests positive for Lyme disease

Public Health Sudbury & Districts state a third black-legged tick has tested positive for Lyme disease in the district.

According to the release, the health unit suggests the public check their pets and themselves after being outside and if a tick is found to send it in for testing at either their main or satellite office for testing.

The latest positive is confirmed to be a carrier of the bacteria that can cause the debilitating Lyme disease.
