A man walking with what appeared to be a gun on a Sudbury street spooked a lot of people. It turns out the gun was a pellet gun but pedestrians didn’t know that at the time. They called police who treated the call as someone with a weapon. Police are telling residents to use precautions when transporting guns to a gun range or on a hunt so as to not scare the public. It’s not known if the pellet gun owner was charged.
