Camper’s firearms seized, charge laid

Bringing not one, but two firearms camping has led to a criminal charge for a Windsor, Ontario man.

OPP Constable Phil Young says police received a call from a complainant who said someone was camping and blocking access to the lake off of Highway 108 in North Shore Township.

He says police found two people in a tent and after further investigation, two firearms were found as well as ammunition.

He says the police seized the guns and ammunition and charged the 64-year-old man with unauthorized possession of a firearm.
