Household Hazardous Waste Day coordinated between four local communities
If you have hazardous waste that you need to get rid of, four local area communities have come
together to host a joint Household Hazardous Waste Day.
Espanola Public Works Manager Joel Yusko says the Town of Espanola and the townships
of Baldwin, Nairn & Hyman and Sables-Spanish Rivers have teamed up to host the joint venture to assist residents in getting rid of waste that can be toxic or cannot be disposed of in the local landfills. Poster provided by Town of Espanola
A joint Household Hazardous Waste Day is being hosted by four local area communities.
Joel Yusko, the public works manager in Espanola says the townships of Baldwin, Nairn & Hyman and
Sables-Spanish Rivers has teamed up with the Town of Espanola to help residents get rid of toxic waste
that cannot be disposed of in landfills.
Residents from all four communities can bring their waste to the public works garage in Espanola
on Saturday, September 26th between 8 am to 4 pm.
Yusko adds there is a wide range of hazardous waste residents may not be aware of, such as batteries,
light bulbs, cleansers, even cosmetics, so visit espanola.ca for the complete list or click on the poster.
