Rainbow board to shutdown high schools if teachers strike

The Rainbow District School Board says it will close all its high schools if teachers strike April 27th.  The teachers are threatening to hit the bricks on that date saying they want a fair deal.  The board says talks are continuing and adds it’s committed to reaching a settlement.  But if no deal is possible, the board is cancelling classes and buses for high school students.  One thing that won’t be affected during a strike is the use of schools for community purposes at night and weekends.
