Elliot Lake council adopts Algoma Public Health policy regarding face coverings

Two motions were adopted by Elliot Lake council at a special meeting to support the policies
implemented by Algoma Public Health in regards to masks or face coverings.
The motions tabled at last night’s meeting endorse the health unit’s policies verbatim.
The first outlines the adoption of the policy for all city-owned properties and offices governed by the
municipality.
The second demonstrated a further commitment to the policy with council committing to endorse the
health unit’s existing mandatory order in regards to masks and face coverings for all businesses and
indoors spaces in Elliot Lake.
The city will be posting the entire policy on the city webpage at elliotlake.ca.
