Face masks required this Wednesday – PHSD

There will be a few exceptions when it comes to wearing masks in either the Sudbury or Manitoulin
districts as of this Wednesday.
Public Health Sudbury & Districts Medical Officer of Health Dr. Penny Sutcliffe says instructions have
been issued to all owners and operators of commercial establishments, as well as public transit, to have
policies in place to prevent people from entering if they are not wearing a face covering.
She says the only exceptions are children under the age of two and those with medical conditions.
Dr. Sutcliffe adds establishments are expected to use their best efforts to implement their face covering
policies, but there isn’t a requirement that a business must turn away the customer.
The additional face-covering responsibility comes into effect at 12:01 a.m., this Wednesday,
July 8. For more information visit MTN.com Further details available at phsd.ca/COVID-19 or calling toll-
