If you get a letter that looks like it’s from an accountant, call police. East Algoma OPP have several reports of area residents getting a letter telling them they are the heir to a large sum of money. The letter is a scam. The sender says before he can release the money he needs your banking information. If you give him that information, you risk having your bank account wiped cleaned.
