Elliot Lake’s three long-term care residences now allowing visitors

Proof of testing for COVID-19 is a must for anyone wishing to visit family or friends at any of Elliot Lake’s three long-term care residences.

St. Joseph’s General Hospital, which operates the adjacent St. Joseph’s Manor, Huron Lodge and Hillside Park are all allowing visitors who have tested negatively within the last two weeks, provided they wear masks and agree to be screened on arrival.

Visiting spaces will be sanitized after each visit to ensure the safety of the residents.

The residences themselves remain closed and no visitation is allowed inside the facilities.

Visits must be scheduled, are half an hour in length and visitors are asked to arrive five minutes before.
