Hundreds of people wearing masks attended a funeral service yesterday evening for a 62-year-old Mississauga man who was shot to death by Peel Regional Police on Saturday.
Ejaz Choudry was shot when police entered his apartment, after family members had called the non-emergency line to ask for a wellness check.
They say Choudry suffered from schizophrenia and had mobility issues.
The Special Investigations Unit has taken over the case.
