The Grand Nord board reaches deal for local French Public Schools

A Northern French Public school board and its teachers’ unions have reached a tentative deal.
Conseil scolaire public du Grand Nord de L’Ontario and AEFO Local 57 reached a three-year deal last
Friday with an end date of September 2022.
Board Education Director Marc Gauthier says many people played a key role in establishing an equitable
and favourable contract for both parties.
Board Chair, Jean-Marc Aubin says they are happy with the proposed agreement which will enable
the board to carry out its mandate to students.
The date for ratification has been set for September 29th.
