ELSS student excels at downhill skiing

It’s been a very rewarding year for a student at Elliot Lake Secondary School who skis for the Searchmount Ski Runners.  Jacques Tiessen competes at the under 16 level and this year he broke into the top 10 in the province finishing eighth in Giant Slalom.  Jacques also qualified for the Eastern Can-Am championships again racing in the under 16 category.  The high school student set both goals for himself after missing last year’s provincials because of illness.  The high schooler is now getting ready for next season.
