Supporters of the Black Lives Matters movement are being invited to attend rallies and marches today.
Manitoulin Island and Greater Sudbury will be the sites of peaceful protests demonstrating unity and support of the movement and standing in solidarity with Black, Indigenous and other People of Colour.
The Greater Sudbury rally is set for 1:00 pm in Bell Park.
Little Current’s tourist information booth on Highway 6, just across the Swing Bridge, will be where the rally gets underway at 3:00 pm followed by a march at 6:00 pm.
COVID-19 protocols will be in place and attendees are asked to wear masks, use hand sanitizers and maintain physical distancing.
