Members of the Wiikwemkoong Unceded Territory are asked to begin the process of considering nominees for Chief and Council.
Electoral officer Vaughn Johnston says nomination forms are now available to nominate individuals for chief or one of 12 positions on council.
He says the official nomination meeting will take place in council chambers on July 4th.
Nominations can be mailed in and voters will also be able to vote by mail, he adds.

Once the candidates are verified, the lists will be posted with the election taking place Saturday, August 15th.
COVID-19 protocols will be followed as part of the process.
