Rainbow OSSTF teachers may strike April 27th

A strike involving teachers and occasional teachers with the Rainbow board is looming.  Their union says educators will hit the bricks on April 27th if there’s no deal with the school board.  District 3 president James Clyke says management refuses to address teachers’ concerns while working conditions have increased.  The current contract expired last August and teachers have given their negotiating team an overwhelming strike mandate.  The vice president of the OSSTF, Harvey Bischof says the educators want a fair and reasonable contract.  Bischof says the union negotiating team is ready to talk at any time in order to avoid a disruption in the classroom.
