Manitoulin Lodge staff remembers Dave Adamczak

A donation has been made to the Gore Bay Fish and Game Club in memory of the late Dave Adamczak,
the assistant director of care at the Espanola Nursing Home at the time of his passing.
Nicole Middleton, a nursing aide at the Manitoulin Lodge Home in Gore Bay says Adamczak’s first job
was as a nurse at the facility.
She says he worked there before moving into his position as the assistant director in Espanola.
Middleton says a donation of $250 and a plaque in his memory was donated to the club, which will use
the funding for its hatchery program.
Adamczak, who was originally from Windsor drowned at the age of 29 in a canoeing incident in
Kagawong on Saturday, May 9th.
He and his friend, 31-year-old Kyle Jokinen from Whitefish had been fishing when their canoe capsized
and both drowned.
Middleton adds both men loved fishing and they wanted to acknowledge Adamczak’s love of the sport.
